Get answers to common questions about PRP/PRF w/ Microneedling - Skin.
We draw a small blood sample, centrifuge it to concentrate platelets (PRP/PRF), then perform microneedling to create microchannels. The plasma is applied or injected so growth factors penetrate deeper, stimulating repair, collagen, and improved skin quality over time.
Most clients report tolerable discomfort. We apply a topical numbing cream before microneedling and use gentle techniques. You may feel pressure and brief stinging; post-treatment soreness subsides in 24 to 72 hours with recommended aftercare.
A typical course is three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart for optimal collagen remodeling. Some clients benefit from two sessions or additional treatments, and annual maintenance treatments help preserve results.
Expect redness, mild swelling, and pinpoint bleeding for 24 to 72 hours, with flaking or peeling for several days. Most people return to normal activities within a day or two; avoid sun and follow aftercare instructions.
Ideal candidates have mild to moderate acne scarring, enlarged pores, uneven texture, or early signs of aging. A consultation determines suitability; those with active infections, certain blood disorders, or pregnancy may not be eligible.
Common side effects include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, and minor pinpoint bleeding. Rare risks include infection or allergic reaction. Follow pre- and post-care guidelines and contact us if you experience severe pain, fever, or unusual symptoms.
